Kelly Clarkson Going on Vacation after Brooklyn Store Furor
GRAND RAPIDS, MI.- Kelly Clarkson is set to going on girls vacay from January 14-18, 2027, following her recent furor with Brooklyn store, Art of Play. Clarkson had lambasted on Art of Play online claiming that she was treated as if she had "walked out of Pretty Woman" after they failed to sell her a mechanical bird called, Molly.
The mechanical bird, the store claims, is their store mascot, and is not for sale. Clarkson, and her fans, however, pointed out that there was a $15,000 price tag by the bird. This led her to believe that the bird was for sale.
The store claims that they informed her that the bird is not for sale but they can sell her a similar item for $2,000. Clarkson claimed she felt humiliated and quickly took to X to vent her frustrations at the interaction.
The store, following the increased attention, doubled down on X offering a statement where they reiterated that the bird is not for sale. They offered to introduce and refer Clarkson to the maker. They also increased the price tag to $15,000,000 because of "increased demand."
In the incidents wake, Clarkson offered no apology but since scheduled a girls vacay for alongside Brandi Carlisle's Girls Just Wanna Weekend music festival from January 14-18, 2027.
X posts quickly divided some taking Clarkson's side and others taking the store's side. Some commenters pointed out the price tag while others lambasted Clarkson for disrupting a small business.
